To upload a Chart of Accounts, follow the steps below:
- Select a client from the Connected Companies list on your dashboard.
- With Client Chart selected in the drop down, select Map Accounts, then Add Chart of Accounts.
- Under Import From File, select Download Template.
- Open the CSV File in either Google Sheets or Excel and populate the three columns with account number, name and type. Ensure the ‘account type’ exactly matches one option in the displayed list and repeat until your chart is complete. Note: you can edit your Chart of Accounts at a later stage during the mapping process.
- Save your Chart of Accounts as a CSV file.
- On the ‘Chart of Accounts’ page, select Browse to locate the saved CSV file.
- Select Submit to upload the chart of accounts.
- Enter the Chart Name and select Save.
Your Chart of Accounts will now be uploaded and ready for mapping.
