The Common Ledger MYOB desktop connector will auto update if you use version 3.0.8 or above. When using the desktop connector, you may be prompted with the below error message:

Update to vX.X.X failed!

This error indicates that the auto-update has failed. This error occurs when the logged-in user does not have user permission in the system where the connector is installed to add or remove software.

To resolve the error and complete the update, exit the desktop connector from your system tray, then have your system administrator log into where the connector is installed and re-open it. This will trigger the auto-update. Alternatively, request user permission to add and remove software from your system administrator.
