Overview:

This page gives you the status of your inbound and outbound connections as well as updates on the data passing through each.

Note: Common Ledger automatically completes an inbound sync every 24 hours. You can initiate a manual sync on the Status Page.

  1. This information relates to the status of the inbound connection

  2. Indicates when the last successful sync was completed

  3. These icons indicate general ledger software packages for which you can download the data held in Common Ledger or connect to your Xero General Ledger

Inbound Sync Status:

The sync status messages follow a 'traffic light' system:

Note: all messages relate to the most recent sync

  • Green = data is complete and accurate

  • Orange = there are some issues with the connection but actions can be taken to remediate

  • Red = there are some unexpected issues with the data and assistance from Support is required to remediate

Explanations of the error messages:

Common Ledger's access to the client file has been lost. This can be caused by a number of reasons. Re-establishing the connection will re-instate the correct permissions for Common Ledger.

Common Ledger does not have the right permission to sync data from the client file. This means that the connecting user's level of access does not allow us to sync all of the data required. The instructions will outline the required level of access to the client file.

Some accounting software providers impose daily limits on volume of data transferred. This message occurs when that limit has been hit (generally this only happens for first-time connections). The sync will resume automatically at the time specified.

Common Ledger has a robust data accuracy checking and reporting system to give you confidence in the quality and accuracy of the data. This message indicates that our reporting system has flagged the file due to suspected data accuracy issues. By clicking the link, a message to Support will be generated for you who will investigate and advise about the issue.

There is an unknown issue with this file and our data accuracy checking and reporting system does not have enough information to confirm the quality and accuracy of the data. By clicking the link, a message to Support will be generated for you who will investigate and advise about the issue.
