The following steps detail how to authorise Common Ledger access to your client Xero ledger:

1. Enter your Xero account credentials and click 'Log in' . Then follow the 2FA process to enter your Xero authorisation code

2. You can search for the ledger name you want to connect and then select the ledger

3. Then click 'Allow access'.

4. The ledger is connected to Common Ledger successfully.

If you need to reconnect the ledger...

When you search the ledger name in Step 2 and the ledger name is under 'Already connected' list, this means that you have connected the ledger to Common Ledger before. Therefore, you will not be able to select this ledger. You can click 'Cancel' to close the page and search for the ledger in Common Ledger, or ask Support for access.

However, if you want to refresh the data/access token in Common Ledger (Support may ask you to do this from time to time), you can click 'Continue with X organisations'

Then search the ledger name you want to connect and click the ledger name

Click 'Reconnect'. The data is refreshed in Common Ledger successfully.
